About me
Hello! My name is Connor Whyte and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Arizona, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Business Economics. My academic journey has fostered a solid foundation in finance and economic theory, preparing me to launch a career in the financial sector. I am passionate about leveraging analytical skills to inform strategic financial decisions and add value to dynamic organizations. I have learned many skills through my student and professional experiences, and I am excited to use them to advance my career and contribute to the field of finance!
Experience
My practical experience includes serving as an equity research extern, where I developed a detailed discounted cash flow (DCF) valuation model and created a comprehensive 5-year forecast for Rambus Inc, an increasingly profitable semiconductor company, enabling data-driven stock valuation and investment insights. Currently, I am a hedge fund analyst with Capital Society, an international student-run organization, where I conduct both qualitative and quantitative research to assess corporate performance and potential investment opportunities.
Beyond my technical competencies, I am actively engaged in the Eller Management Club and the Eller Cohort Advisory Board, which have enriched my teamwork and leadership abilities. Also, balancing part-time employment with my studies throughout college has strengthened my time management and multitasking skills, allowing me to excel in fast-paced environments and efficiently meet deadlines.
